The studio officially launched the DC Extended Universe last year with Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and then followed up that film with David Ayer’s Suicide Squad later that summer and Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman earlier this year. This past weekend, the studio made their annual appearance at San Diego Comic- Con where they showcased their most anticipated upcoming movies, such as Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner: 2. Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, though their main event focused entirely around their DCEU lineup, namely Justice League and James Wan’s Aquaman. Those two movies are next on the docket, with the former arriving this November and the latter arriving next December (so there’s still time for WB to promote that movie next year), which is why those were the most heavily promoted. Warner Bros. released their second Justice League trailer online following the panel on Saturday, though the exclusive Aquaman footage they screened likely won’t ever release.
