Sholokhov: I definitely am going to pay some bills first, and then whatever comes. I'm not quite sure what direction I'm going to go. It's so overwhelming. There are lots of opportunities coming my way. I'd love to start my own brand, but in order to do that, I need to find a business partner and I need to attract investors. It's a process, so hopefully I can do it fast enough and show a collection next fall. THR: What's your current living situation?

Sholokhov: I actually just moved. I got myself an apartment Oct. I'm settling down. I'm very happy about that.

I was pretty much homeless for all the time I was on Project Runway. THR: What did you think about Christopher's comments in the finale?

Sholokhov: He was all over the place. He came very unprepared and didn't have the direction, and I just feel like he lost his confidence a little bit and compensated with negative comments. THR: Was it nerve- racking showing at New York Fashion Week? Sholokhov: It's the biggest day for a designer. It's such a serious competition, and it's a lot of pressure knowing your collection is going to be shown on national television.

That was an amazing experience. Radio City Music Hall is a legendary place, and to be there with the Rockettes performing for us and [getting to design a costume for the dancers], it was surreal. And I was honored to have that opportunity.

THR: What made you originally try out for Project Runway? Sholokhov: I had quite a lot of experience working as a professional designer and done quite a few collections for other companies. Project Runway is one of those reality show competitions that really have a purpose, and it's a great opportunity for young, talented artists to show their work. So that was a major point for me. Sholokhov: She had problems with everybody and arguments with everybody. At the end of the show, she apologized to me for being a bitch, and then everything was kind of cool, so no bad feelings. THR: What was your favorite part of the competition? Sholokhov: The whole experience because it was so unique and just - - everything. I don't even know where to begin. The way of living and way of you being separated from your real work and it's like making a crazy movie, where you're on camera 2.

The whole thing was an unforgettable experience. THR: What did you learn during your time on the show? Sholokhov: It was just great to get constructive criticism and learn from it and grow as a designer. About 5 months ago, Robert Mallory set out to improve the Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department located in the Canaan Community of Fayette County.  At that time, they were operating with a 1. Their main pumper was a 1.

Ford that only pumped from one side and had constant transmission issues along with a water leak that forbid holding more than one half tank of water. Mallory began sending out letters using a boundary from Nashville, TN to New Orleans, La to Mobile, Al and getting nowhere quickly.  One day, he decided to focus on the larger cities here in Alabama to see what was available. Birmingham, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery and Mobile had nothing in surplus.

Frustrated at the amount of work being placed and going nowhere, Mallory remembered he'd forgotten one particular Alabama City.. Decatur. He sent an email to the Mayor, Tab Bolling who then forwarded the email to the Decatur City Fire Cheif, Tony Grande. Mallory was then informed there was, indeed, a truck that had been taken out of service and was being held in surplus. Grande was open about other departments who'd inquired about purchasing the vehicle for their own departments. Mallory informed Grande that Stonewall VFD was a small rural department with very little cash and pleaded with him the possibility of the City of decatur donating the apparatus. Over a period of 4 months, Mallory remained in tough with Grande and Bolling and even sent letters to the Decatur City Council pleading with them to help Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department, who was struggling to keep their community Fire Department alive and running.

The Decatur City Council held a vote on May 1st to decide which city would receive the$5. May 2nd, Robert Mallory received the news of a unanimous vote, 5- 0, in favor of Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department recieving the truck as a donation to help the Canaan Comunity ine keeping them safe as well as seeing a reduction in their home insurance by living in a community that is now up to par on Fire Safety. Mallory and other members of the Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department made the trip the following Thursday to meet with the Fire Officials and the City Council to take ownership of their new fire truck.
